It’s been a long day at the pool. I swear I can still smell the chlorine on my skin! Still, the pool side days were my favorite part of the summer and I remember how much fun my friends and I used to have. On this particular day, I noticed something out of the ordinary. An inflatable sex doll floating in the pool!
I’ll be honest, my first thought was, “What on earth are they doing with that?!” But as I looked more closely, vibrators I saw that this doll had been customized as a mermaid, with fins and scales and a real-looking tail. It was like something from a fantasy world.

My friends and I decided to make our own version of the prank. We found an old blow-up doll and went to town making it look like a mermaid. We added a seaweed hat and fins and some sparkles to make it look as real as possible. We even made a voice out of soda cans and fabric so it would be more convincing! We were all so proud of our creation that we decided to take pictures of it before setting it loose in the pool.
But before we could do that, we had to make sure that the lifeguard was taken care of. We figured that if we could get the lifeguard out of the way, we wouldn’t get in trouble for putting it in the pool. So we pooled our cash and bought him dinner and snacks. He was so pleased with our “gift” that he was more than happy to keep a lookout for us while we released our inflatable friend.
Now, I’ll never forget the moment we put it in the pool. We all crowded around and shouted and jumped with joy. Then we waited for people to notice it floating around. We watched happily as people freaked out and ran around the pool, wondering what kind of creature was in the pool with them.
It made for a really great night. We laughed and joked and sang as we watched people discover the inflatable. And every time someone found it, our laughter grew louder and more contagious. It was just a bunch of college kids having fun and it definitely doesn’t have to be an inflatable sex doll in the pool for a hilarious time.
